Poker, Poker, Poker.........where would we all be without Poker?
Well I suppose my bank balance would be a little more to the delight of my bank manager, but would I be any happier?
I have been on the online poker rollercoaster for well over 3 years now playing on multiple sights under multiple table names, taking money, giving money, being robbed by total tossers and giving large verbals all round..........can it get any better?
Well until recently I would have said 'no' but since mid November I have gone into a tailspin of losses, just cant win a hand, being fucked by the river more times than one could ever wish on ones worst enemies!
As a result I have totally bust my roll in the last 6 weeks, over $17K, totally sick, the Poker Gods have decided to ignore my prayers instead chosing to listen to the fishies who think they know the game.
I mean how can anyone re-raise my substantial pre flop bet, (with pocket aces) and then move all-in to a 5 high flop. So a pot of $1300+ is up for grabs and the fish shows 58 off suit, for a pair of fives. Great I think, but little did I know that at this point the little fish is granted a personal interview with the Poker Gods who for some bizzare reason decide that an 8 on the river would be a good idea......................................................wtf !
Thats just one of several dozen moans I have had over the past 6 weeks that has led me to question the sanity of the Poker Gods.
So now I am forced to take a long poker sabaticle, and drown my sorrows. I must now re-group and review my game, focus and hope the Poker Gods will come to their senses and just do a bit of railing.
We all love poker, but sometimes it just sucks.
